Thank you, RHK Volunteers!

What amazes me most about our volunteers is their deep level of commitment and consistency. They show up weekly, monthly, quarterly – without fail. They embody our volunteer scripture of the year:

"We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us." 1 Thessalonians 2:8 (CSB)

Whether it’s putting together food bags for our kids, serving in the kitchen, or showing up in the evenings to mentor our kids and teens, none of them choose the easy road to serving.

Night after night, I see:

     • Kids greeted by name

     • Adults vs teens playing basketball

     • Leaders showing our kids what it means to worship

     • Answering the hard questions

     • Sharing their own testimonies, their own lives, their own stories

     • Showing up to sporting events

     • Spending hours cutting out pieces for a craft

     • Sorting donations

All of it as an outpouring of the radical love of Jesus. Our volunteers are truly servant-hearted; they’re dedicated; they’re bold; they’re the secondary heartbeat of all we do at Rock House (next to the Lord, of course). We are thankful every day for the love, care, and commitment they bring. We could not do all that we do without them!

Thank you to all of our volunteers for how you continue to show up on the hard days and love our kids well. They catch a glimpse of Jesus by being seen and known and cared for in one way or another, by each and every one of you.
