"Sweet" Gift to RHK is a Big Hit

Last December, at our Annual Wrapping Party, the Kiwanis Club of Rockford presented RHK with a special gift - a new cotton candy machine!

In February, as we celebrated Valentine’s Day with the kids & teens, it was the perfect time to break out the new machine. The kids had fun picking out which flavors they wanted to try and wasted no time enjoying their sugary treats.

A big part of what made this particular gift so special is that it was given in honor of Paul and Sharon Werther. The Werthers had made the decision to retire after 11 years of volunteering with fellow Kiwanis member in the RHK kitchen, serving hot meals to our kids during the evening program.

We are so grateful for Paul and Sharon. Their commitment to RHK has always been evident. Rain or shine, if they were scheduled to serve, we always knew they would be here.
