RHK Volunteer Spotlight: Danielle Jackson

Hi, my name is Danielle Jackson. I am the mother of two grown sons and I have four beautiful grandchildren. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 45 years, soon to be 46! I work as a paraprofessional at Winnebago High School, and my retirement plan is on the horizon. I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family. I also love volunteering at my church in the Faith kids program and enjoy all the different age groups there.

I started volunteering that Rock House Kids in May of 2024 and find it very rewarding. I started out working with the 5th/6th grade girls and continued with the 5th grade girls after the 6th students became part of the teen program instead.

Faith is a big part in my life, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to join in on the teaching and friendships I share with the Rock House family.

If you ever feel the need to let God sow the seed of volunteerism into your life, I would highly recommend giving it a try. You might just discover you are the one getting the gift you thought you were giving!
