Our Open House on June 11 was such a great time! We weren’t sure what to expect with the prosect of bad storms coming through, but despite the weather, we still had 50 guests attend.

Every kid who walks through our doors has a story. For many of our Rock House Kids, life outside of RHK can be filled with challenges no child should face alone.

If you have ever wondered what it is like for our kids and volunteers at RHK, we encourage you to come to our RHK Open House on June 11. Our staff will give you a tour, walking you through what a night at our evening program looks like.

What a great time we had celebrating our faithful, hard-working team of volunteers last Friday. We are blessed!

What a great night! We want to give our thanks to everyone who came out for Rock N Bowl on Saturday. The team spirit was amazing and we are in awe of the talented bowlers who came out. (Can you believe one young lady bowled a 300 game?!?!) We had so much fun with you all and can't wait to do it again next year! We want to thank all those who came out to the RHK Art Auction and Townhall meeting last Friday. The art pieces our kids made raised $420 for the Broadway Food Pantry. Plus, The Dharma Foundation matched it 100%, for a total of $840. What a blessing!

This year was all about keeping it real, giving our guests a taste of what the kids experience when they attend our evening programs. Everyone became “Rock House Kids” for the night. Just like on program nights, all who came received a hot meal, were safe, and received a nugget of Jesus - the three marks of a good night at RHK.

This month we are also in need of gift wrapping supplies, as we prepare for our annual Wrapping party on December 13. Any items you can provide will help.

Many people asked about our "Jesus 365" shirts last night and how they could get one for themself. Good news! They are now available for purchase in our webstore. And, 20% of every purchase will be donated back to RHK to help support our mission to serve our kids.

Guess what? We saw more than 550 students and parents attend the event! School-age kids and teens who needed them received school physicals, eye exams, backpacks with school supplies, and much more. All thanks to the 25+ different organizations and churches that came together to make sure families in the communities had what they needed to help their kids start the new school year.

Red Robin is famous for their amazing gourmet burgers and bottomless steak fries. They also have a big heart for the Rockford community. We are very excited they will be hosting our RHK Big Eats Tour on Thursday, June 26.
