RHK Volunteer Spotlight: Thad Andrews

Meet Abby Finley, the newest member of Rock House Kids’ Board of Directors! Abby is looking forward to using her skills and experience to help guide the vital services RHK provides to inner-city youth.

Abby is actively involved in the Rockford community. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and as the Advocate Representative to the Board of Directors for Winnebago County CASA. She also volunteers each month as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, supporting youth in foster care in Winnebago County.

Professionally, Abby is the Director of Development at Phantom Regiment in Rockford, where she oversees fundraising for the marching arts and music education organization. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Judson University and a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University–Shreveport. Her work and dedication to the community have also earned her some special recognition. In 2025, she was named one of the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce’s Forty Leaders Under 40. In 2026, she was named

Advocate of the Year by Winnebago County CASA and Illinois CASA.

But there’s more to Abby than her professional accomplishments! She and her husband are members of First Free Rockford, a church that has long supported RHK. They are also foster and adoptive parents, so they have plenty of tiny humans keeping them busy—and whom they love deeply. When she has some free time, Abby enjoys reading, running, and gardening.

Through her work and personal experiences, Abby has seen the life-changing impact that can happen when organizations come alongside at-risk youth in our community. She believes RHK is a wonderful example of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and she is excited to give her time to help support the organization.

We’re so glad to have Abby on the team and can’t wait to see how God uses her gifts at RHK!
