Looking Back - Puppets Rock!

Rock House Kids is celebrating 25 years of ministry to Rockford's inner-city kids in 2024!

We love puppets at RHK! Over the years, different puppet teams and speakers have come and performed for our kids. Puppets are not just entertaining, but are a fun, effective way to communicate with children and adults alike.

What's better than watching a puppet show? Getting to be the puppeteer backstage, of course! For many years now, RHK has given the kids an opportunity to be on our puppet team. Classes last for 4-6 weeks. The kids learn puppetry basics and prepare a song or skit to perform for the rest of the kids during chapel time after their class. Then, a new group comes in for their turn to be on the team.

We are so thankful for our longtime puppet ministry volunteer, Barb Seaworth, who works so hard to lead the team.

Our puppet team is featured every year at our Streets & Sweets fundraiser and a few other events in our community.
