Giving from the Heart

At RHK, we're continually amazed by the generosity of those who support our mission to share God's love with inner-city youth. One humbling example of this giving spirit comes from a small local church with just under 45 members that has faithfully poured into our ministry since its early days as a church.

Though this church has only been active for less than two years, their impact is powerful and consistent. Each month, they stop by RHK with a donation in hand. From hygiene items and snacks to financial gifts, each drop-off is a tangible reminder of their obedience to God's call to give.

What's most touching is the heart behind their generosity. Recently, their lead pastor and founder shared something that resonated deeply with us: Their giving isn't based on abundance but on faithfulness. He explained they are committed to stewarding the Lord's blessings well, not for recognition but because they believe the true currency of the Kingdom is lives saved by Jesus. That's the heartbeat of RHK, seeing young lives transformed by God’s love.

One particular week, we received two separate donations from this church. When we mentioned how blessed we were to see them twice in such a short time, the response was simple and profound: "We received more, so we're giving more."

Their obedience echoes the words of Luke 12:48, "To whom much is given, much will be required." It's a reminder that stewardship isn't about the size of the gift but the posture of the heart. At RHK, we're surrounded by givers who respond to God's prompting with open hands and faithful hearts.

If their story inspires you, we invite you to join our RHK Family Circle—a group of monthly givers who commit to sustaining our mission year-round. Your recurring gift, whether large or small, helps ensure we can consistently provide hot meals, a safe space, and the love of Jesus to the 250+ kids we serve weekly. Because when we give in faith, we join in the work of the Kingdom, transforming lives one child at a time.
