My Story
Drake Grindle has been involved with Rock House Kids since 2020 as a volunteer and joined the RHK Board of Directors in June 2024. Since moving back to Rockford after working in Chicago for a few years after college, Drake felt the need to get involved in the Rockford community, specifically an organization who worked with inner-city youth. He connected with Rock House Kids, passed his volunteer interview, and the rest was history!
Drake enjoys volunteering in the kitchen and serving a nice, warm meal to the kids after school. “Ever since joining the RHK volunteer staff, I’ve been all in on the RHK mission to provide a safe place for Rockford’s inner-city youth and meeting their physical, emotional, and educational needs in a faith-based environment,” said Drake. “I enjoy spending time with the kids (who are always full of energy!) and working with such a great group of volunteers.” He is excited to join the RHK Board of Directors and help cast the vision for the future, overcome challenges along the way, and help the organization thrive in moving the dial in a positive direction for all the kids who come through the RHK doors.
Drake was born and raised in Rockford and attended Rockford Christian Schools. He went on to graduate from Rock Valley College then earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Drake is a financial advisor and member owner at Savant Wealth Management, but his most important and fulfilling job is being a dad to his daughter Delilah and newborn son Dane, and husband to his wife Danielle. Drake enjoys boating on the Rock River and Lake Redstone, playing softball, hiking, and gardening.
