My Story
I was born in Sycamore Illinois. We moved to Rockford when I was about six-years-old. I am the oldest out of all of my siblings. I love being a mom, it stretches me to strengths I never knew that I needed. I have a daughter as well as two bonus kids who mean the world to me. God has shown me that love has no limits and that he is the one writing our story.
I was going for elementary education at RVC when I felt God call me out of elementary education and into full time ministry. From there, with obedience I have two certificates in ministry from the CityFirst Leadership College here in rockford where I got to get hands-on training in ministry as well as developing and learning life skills that equip me in my day to day life. I grew a strong passion for helping God's people, and growing his kingdom. While attending the leadership college, I was going for my bachelors in ministry leadership through Southeastern University where I would eventually graduate with my degree. Working for God is such a privilege that I hold very close to my heart.
I love reading God's word, and teaching others how to grow closer to him. I get to be on a core team called Era where we meet monthly and come up with ways that reach our youth as well as young adults on the seventh and thirteenth ward in our city. We get to pour into them, and see how God moves through their lives and the impact that he is making.
I love holidays, and decorating for them! I love to decorate not just for the holidays but for parties. I worked at the Rockford Public Library for eleven years where I learned that I love to collect books, and hope to have a mini library in my house one day. I love all kinds of flowers, but do not have a green thumb for the life of me. I love coffee, and can make a mean latte. I ran our church coffee shop for a couple of years, where I learned that ministry can be anywhere and you don't have to be on a stage to do ministry. God can use you right where you are.
