My Story
April started out as an intern for us here at Rock House Kids through her Bachelors of Human Services program at Judson University in 2018. After finishing her internship, she enjoyed serving in many areas of programming, and stayed for an extra year to help out wherever she was needed. Whether it was running slides, signing kids in for the evening program, sitting with kids in the time out area, being an extra set of eyes, taking pictures, setting up for giveaways, or helping a teacher out for the night, she always enjoyed serving. Walking back through the doors after some time away reminded her of just how much Rock House Kids had become a part of her life.
When our Storeroom Coordinator position opened up, we knew April would be the perfect fit, where she could utilize her organizational skills and drive to serve God’s kids. She is responsible for organizing all of our storeroom donations and purchases, working with outside organization donations, creating monthly program giveaways, managing behind the scenes volunteers & service workers, and much more!
At Central Christian Church, she volunteers in different ministries, including being the nursery coordinator, helping with tech, and being a youth group sponsor. April has always felt called to help people in many capacities, so to do it for a job in ministry is really rewarding for her.
