My Story

Abby Finley joined the Rock House Kids Board of Directors in July 2026. She is excited to use her skills to guide the vital services RHK provides to inner-city youth!

Abby is highly involved in the Rockford community. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Advocate Representative to the Board of Directors for Winnebago County CASA. Additionally, Abby volunteers time each month serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for youth in foster care in Winnebago County.

Professionally, Abby is the current Director of Development at Phantom Regiment in Rockford, where she oversees all fundraising efforts for the marching arts and music education organization. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Judson University and a Master's in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University - Shreveport. In 2025, Abby was named one of the forty top leaders under the age of forty by The Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, in 2026, she was named Advocate of the Year by Winnebago County CASA and Illinois CASA.

Personally, she and her husband are members of First Free Rockford, a church that has long supported RHK! They are both foster and adoptive parents, meaning they have many tiny humans whom they love deeply. Abby loves spending her free moments reading, running, and gardening!

Abby has seen the generation-changing work that can happen when organizations support at-risk youth in our community. She truly believes that RHK is a prime example of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus! She is excited to give of her time to help support the organization.
