Founded in 1999, Rock House Kids is an outreach that continues to care for at-risk children in Rockford's inner city. There is a growing number of at-risk children from ages 4 to 18 who are in need of a safe, warm, nurturing environment. At the Rock House we try to provide this environment by strengthening the spritual, mental, and physical growth of these children in many ways. We take educational field trips, we have purity classes, we teach manners, we instill preventive gang involvement, we serve hot meals, we distribute child-friendly single-serving non-perishable food bags to each child, we help provide school supplies and backpacks, we tutor, and we share God's love. These at-risk inner city children need mentors to help them grow up strong and wise. At the Rock House we do our best to help raise up this next generation!
